Break the Gates... Take the Mountain

The twenty-third of February was the day of my last article on this platform… albeit unintentionally… I did try to send out an update on a future “article” coming out on the fifteenth of April, thinking it would be something like a soft relaunch. As you can see I failed epically to bring that article to market. First of all, I’m sorry for leaving you beautiful people hanging out there in the void of the internet without any lifelines, and here is the quick version of what happened during that time. I have worked professionally for the last thirteen years in the sales industry. I have been poor at times, yet I have also been comfortable, and a couple of times I’ve been comfortable. In October of 2022, I was laid off due to a “reduction in force” … If you don’t know what that means, basically, this happens when a company is trying to save money for “reasons” and your job gets put on the “chopping block”, but it is more about keeping cash in their pockets than anything you are doing (good, bad, ugly) so they lay you off. Everyone makes nice, you get a bit of severance and, if needed you get the green light from the company that they will not try to stop the government from paying out unemployment funds if you request them because you cannot find employment temporarily. I leaned into writing a bit afterward thinking that I would enjoy the holiday season and I totally had peace about the entire situation, so I did enjoy the season. But when I returned I had to find a way to make money for my family and I quit writing articles and started writing resumes… I must have rewritten my resume at least twenty times.

Peace in all circumstances…

Ultimately six months later I was given a couple of really good opportunities and I made the decision that I believe will have positive long-term effects for my family, but suffice it to say, I’m no longer selling things for a living; at this point in life that is something that I am happy to say. One day just after the layoff I was sitting in a coffee shop, shocker, thinking about my reaction of the loss of a significant income. How if this would have happened ten years ago, I would have been a mess, I would have been depressed, and thinking that I was a failure. Honestly, I had a sense of peace that I would have what I needed and that a way would be made clear for me to walk in certainty and wisdom. I had a conversation with God… I gave him time and space to provide… and I refused to live in fear of the unknown. I spent time with friends and family and wouldn’t you know it… I accepted the most ideal job for me and so much more, now enough about me, now lets get into the previously promised conversation.

Look at Earth

You wouldn’t have to look long before you find out that life on Earth kind of sucks right now. I mean don’t get me wrong I am super pleased to be alive but wow it’s been a difficult time to be alive. Let’s take a look at some of the recent events happening on the blue marble commonly known as planet Earth, and specifically in the Western-World; since this is where most of us keep residence, live, and socialize. Here is a list of some of the most significant events of the last three years. I will not recant every single terrible detail, but here is a synopsis of the times that we are living in.

This my friends is what we the people on the earth have to deal with and these situations that we have to navigate are only going to get more complicated.

Do you have eyes to see it?

The Question
The last three years feel like an entire lifetime of bad events, it feels like we are in a trap, and there is no way of escape. How do we survive the next twelve months, the next twenty, thirty, or forty years? How will we face the decades in the face of so much bad… how will we make it out of this mess?

The Answer
The hard fact of humanity is that we need every single human, that we can be afforded to be on our side if we are going to make it, and unity is the only way forward. Yes, we can make it, but we are going to have to band together to do so, and without unity, we are definitely screwed. But to what can we rally, or to whom can assemble, and in what can we place our hopes and not be disappointed? Everyone seems to be disappointing us these days: Governments, Economics, Entertainment, Religions. I submit to you, that it is time to rally around the only person that we can fully trust, and that is Jesus. The one who was killed literally… The one who resurrected literally… The one who is, literally still alive… The only one standing in opposition to the dark kingdom which seems to be dominating the whole earth.

What is Next?
After placing your hope of eternal life based on all the things that Jesus said and did, now you are on God’s side. You have a relationship with Jesus, God’s son, and the Spirit. Honestly with this trio, you are well on your way to a great situation on earth, but have you considered your allegiances while on earth to the other servants of the King of the Kingdom of Heaven? If you are indeed, in the Kingdom and you are alive on the earth, then you are in the King’s apprenticeship program. In this apprenticeship program, you are one, of the many humans on earth that the king has on earth. Our sole purpose in the apprenticeship is to reclaim humanity from the Dark Kingdom of the Evil Angel. If you are in the Kingdom of Heaven and you are alive on Earth, then you are an emissary to humans living on the Earth. A group of such emissaries of Heaven, in any given space, on the earth is also known as a Church.

… Buckling beneath the pressure of the Gates of Hell?

Are you tired of being alone fighting against the Dark Angel’s kingdom? Are you buckling beneath the pressure of his culture? Maybe, it's time to link up with like-minded individuals who are aligned with the same moral code and eternal hope that you now have. But, which church is best, especially if your city has dozens of churches, and they have different names, and they are affiliated with different sub-groups? Let me make it simple, the Church is not a building, it is not an inanimate object. The Church is alive and made up of people who literally believe that Jesus was born, lived, died, resurrected, and ascended into heaven, and will govern literally on planet Earth. By doing these things, Jesus washed us in purity and cleared the debt that we owed to God. He made a pathway for humanity to live forever and he offers this power of immortality to those who choose to believe this simple truth. The Church provides a pathway for humans living in the Dark Kingdom, to escape into the Kingdom of Heaven. We are going to dive into what the literal Church actually is and how it operates within society and within our time on earth; to be on the outside of the church on earth is to be inside of the murder trap of Geppetto.⁴²

…you were born to fight this fight…

It’s time to fulfill the reality of the King of the Kingdom of Heaven. I know these are perilous times and it seems like the Evil Angel seems to be king on the mountain here on earth. Everyone seems to be doing what he wants them to be doing and he seems powerful; like he is in full authority on the earth. But I submit to you that since the resurrection of Jesus, power has been given to us, within the Kingdom of Heaven, to bring the attack to the Gates of Hell. Jesus is the great disruptor of the plans of the Fallen Angel. Jesus is the original party crasher; the Dark Kingdom’s twenty-four-seven party has ended! The Word is alive and He is living on the inside of several hundred-million people on planet Earth at any given time. My fellow emissaries and citizens of Heaven, conditions on earth suck and the humans are in bad shape. Honestly, it is not going to become any better for humanity apart from Christ. As we move closer to the Day of the Return of the King of Heaven, life on Earth will get darker and more difficult to navigate. Take up your sword and your shield and follow me because it is time to take the killshot… break the gates… and take the mountain.
